Biography

Remains one of the elite players in the NBL as he has now for much of his 317-game career ahead of entering a fifth season at the South East Melbourne Phoenix and being appointed sole captain.

Has turned himself into quite the unstoppable force and one of the superstars of the NBL having now been captain at two clubs, being named to the All-NBL First Team in 2023 and the All Second Team in 2018, 2021 and 2022, and winning the Fans MVP in 2018.

After growing up in Horsham, Victoria, attended the Australian Institute of Sport for two years before beginning his NBL career at the Adelaide 36ers for the 2010/11 season as an 18-year-old.

In eight seasons with the Sixers, built himself up physically and transformed his game to become one of the standout players in the league, was appointed captain of the club and was a key member of their teams that made Grand Finals in 2014 and 2018.

That NBL18 season was the best of his career up to that point with his shooting improving markedly and his strength making him unstoppable closer to the basket on top of his explosiveness.

After eight years with Adelaide, decided to test the waters and play with the Long Island Nets in the G League and that led to an NBA opportunity in 2019 at the Brooklyn Nets. Ended up making four appearances with the Nets and then later that season played a game for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Then would become the first ever signing at the South East Melbourne Phoenix ahead of the 2019/20 season and has put together four outstanding seasons as one of the superstars of the league, but it's now that ultimate NBL success that is driving him on.
