Biography

For a career that saw him start as a development player at two clubs, he has become one the NBL's greats and the Melbourne United captain is showing no signs of slowing down.

Born in Launceston before moving to Brisbane as an eight-year-old, ‘CG43’ ended up getting his first NBL opportunity as a development player with the eventual champion winning Brisbane Bullets in 2007.

He continued his journey, joining the Perth Wildcats in 2008/09 as a development player before earning a first full contract in 2009/10. After this, followed by three seasons with the Gold Coast Blaze finding his feet as a dangerous shooter and pure scorer, Goulding went to the next level at the Melbourne Tigers.

That included the league’s only ever 50-point game in the 40-minute era against the Sydney Kings in 2014. Excluding a brief trio of stints in Europe, the sharpshooter has been a constant at Melbourne United since 2015/16 season.

Along the way he has captained United to championships in NBL18 and NBL21, was Grand Final MVP in 2018 and made more than 1000 three-pointers across his 400+ game career.

Has also been a regular member of the Australian Boomers including the bronze medal winning team at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
