Biography
Was signed as an injury replacement player by the South East Melbourne Phoenix and the NBA experienced forward made an immediate impact winning the Ray Borner Medal as the best player at the NBL Blitz in 2023.
Only joined the Phoenix due to an injury to import centre Alan Williams, but the 26-year-old appears ready to have a significant, albeit brief, impact on the NBL with South East Melbourne until Williams returns.
Is a good size at almost 6'8, but has already shown that he can be a spectacular finisher at the rim, can defend the basket, can rebound and be a terrific all-round big which is no surprise considering his credentials.
After growing up in Saint Louis, Missouri, attended the University of Iowa before ending up signing for the Cleveland Cavaliers and making his NBA debut in January 2020. Split his time between the Cavs and the Canton Charge of the G League.
Has since played with each of the Denver Nuggets, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls in the NBA for a total of 66 appearances on the court while also being named to the All-G League Third Team in 2021 and playing in the G League Next Up Game in 2023.
