Biography
Is now coming into his third season in the NBL with the Cairns Taipans on the back of proving himself a standout on-ball defender and always improving playmaker and scorer in the league.
The 26-year-old was somewhat of a speculative signing by Taipans coach Adam Forde back ahead of the 2021/22 season, but now two years into his NBL career and he's proven himself one of the best two-way guards in the league.
After being born in Sudan, came to Australia aged nine and grew up in Canberra, played SEABL (now NBL1 South) with the Canberra Gunners and then had a five-year college career.
Started with four years at California Baptist University and then after graduating, spent another season with the University of Detroit Mercy, averaging 15.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals for the 2020/21 season.
Kuol then returned to Australia to play at the Knox Raiders in the 2021 NBL1 South season which is where the Taipans signed him out of, and he went on to be NBL Rookie of the Year in 2022.
Had another strong 2022/23 season with the Snakes before playing with French club Le Mans and now is preparing for a third season with Cairns looking to be a defensive menace, playmaker and scorer.
